Obesity and Health: How Can We Fix Broken Food & Healthcare Systems?
This World Obesity Day, our discussion will challenge the common narrative that obesity is solely an individual responsibility. Instead, we will explore how food systems, healthcare structures, and policy gaps shape obesity trends and influence health outcomes.
This event will bring together experts in nutrition, public health, and food systems to discuss:
Food environments and obesity: How affordability, accessibility, and policy impact dietary choices
Healthcare and obesity: Addressing stigma, gaps in care, and the need for comprehensive support
Systemic change: What steps can be taken to promote better health outcomes through policy and advocacy
